💧 We are currently looking for a Mechanical Engineer to be based in Paphos, Cyprus.

🎯Mission:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer, who will be responsible for the operation, reliability, maintenance, and continuous improvement of mechanical equipment within wastewater treatment facilities. This role combines field and office responsibilities, requiring regular presence at treatment plants and pumping stations to perform inspections, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities while also supporting engineering studies, reporting, planning, and documentation. A strong working knowledge of submersible pumps and submersible mixers is essential.

🚀Responsibilities

• Execute and supervise preventive maintenance programs for wastewater treatment equipment.

• Perform and coordinate corrective maintenance activities, troubleshooting and resolving equipment failures.

• Conduct routine inspections to assess equipment condition and operational performance.

• Diagnose mechanical failures and implement effective corrective actions.

• Support reliability improvement initiatives aimed at reducing downtime and maintenance costs.

• Review, optimize, and support mechanical systems associated with wastewater treatment processes.

• Evaluate equipment performance and recommend upgrades or modifications.

• Prepare maintenance procedures, technical reports, specifications, and engineering documentation.

• Review vendor proposals and technical documentation.

• Coordinate with operations, electrical, instrumentation, and process teams.

• Participate in commissioning, testing, and acceptance activities for new equipment.

• Ensure compliance with company HSE policies and industry regulations.

🎓 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university. Preferred Professional Engineer registration or equivalent certification.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in wastewater treatment, water treatment, pumping stations, or industrial process facilities.

• Experience in preventive maintenance programs : corrective maintenance and troubleshooting ; Equipment installation and commissioning; mechanical asset management.

• Hands-on experience with: submersible pumps; submersible mixers; rotating equipment o Pumping systems o Wastewater treatment processes

• Experience using CMMS systems for maintenance planning and reporting is desirable.

• Based in Paphos or able to relocate.

• Easy to commute, with own car.

• English fluency.

• Permanente contract (without probation period, according with internal's policy.

• Salary aligned with the candidate’s profile and experience, within the budget: €45K–€50K (for 13 months).

• Onsite position: 70% Site-Based (Wastewater Treatment Plants and Pumping Stations) + 30% Office-Based (Engineering, Reporting, Planning, and Coordination Activities)

• Workin hours: 7am-3pm (in summertime can be 5am-1pm).
