Summary
The Sales & Business Development Engineer, Wastewater ensures the commercial development of Mobile Water Solutions activities and brand awareness across the Benelux region. Activities include participating in communication actions, prospecting potential new customers, preparing proposals in cooperation with the process experts, negotiating prices, developing strategies to boost sales, managing the customer portfolio, and ensuring commercial follow-up with customers. The activities include dedication to driving change, setting industry standards, and delivering exceptional value to ensure customers for life. The Sales & Business Development Engineer, Process Water plays a crucial role in business & profitability growth. The Sales & Business Development Engineer, Wastewater reports to the Division Sales Manager, Northern Europe.
The role is home office-based position with frequent travel and industrial site visits within the region.
Job Responsibilities
Sales
Define strategic growth agenda, develop and execute a comprehensive business strategy aligned with company objectives to ensure sustained growth and profitability.
Drive application of multiple technologies (brand- agnostic) within industries through various Industrial Water Solution brands.
Act as the primary ambassador and spokesperson for the company, representing our brand and values at industry conferences, events, and in media engagements.
Establish sales plan for the dedicated area with the support of the Division Sales Manager
Calculate prices based on the standard cost sheet
Prepare proposals (technical & process support from Europe Operations Team)
Business Development
Facilitate key account management on the regional level, establish and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders, including industry partners and customers.
Identify and prospect of new potential customers in the assigned region.
Establish development plan for the dedicated area with the support of the Division Sales Manager
Implement specific business development plans (priority customers, engineering houses & EPCs, IEX, etc.)
Identify new markets or fields of opportunities
Support general Sales and Marketing activities
Collect, manage, and spread industry specific expertise, identify and capitalize on emerging market opportunities, innovations, and industry trends to maintain the company’s competitive edge.
Contribute proactively to the business & profitability growth
Build brand awareness
Implement marketing plan (support from Europe Marketing Team) and participating in communication events and actions (webinars, seminars, exhibitions, press articles, technical papers)
Respect Golden Rules (internal procedures, contractual terms, etc.)
Quality Assurance
Assist in developing systems and procedures for Mobile Water Solutions.
Provide adequate auditing, particularly of on-site activities, to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Adhere to and enforce procedures outlined within the quality system.
Health & Safety
Ensure adherence to QHSE policies and standards by fostering a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible workplace, actively promoting safety initiatives, and complying with regulatory requirements, as the health, safety, and environmental well-being of our employees are fundamental to our organization.
Report any incidents, near-misses, or hazards promptly to management and assist in the investigation process to prevent future occurrences

Prepare and actively participate in sales team reviews & reports, active use of CRM system.
Job Requirements
Master’s degree or Engineering degree or equivalent in commerce or technical, preferably Chemical Engineering.
Proven experience in technical sales, preferably in the field of water treatment or a related industry.
Extensive working experience in sales & business development in the water and wastewater treatment industry
Experience and proven capability to work across cultures, borders, and different methods of executing business within an international team.
Effective communication, has skills to convey information clearly, listen actively, and tailor messages appropriately for different audiences, facilitating understanding and collaboration.
Customer-centric approach, placing the customer at the center of business strategies and decisions, understanding their needs, preferences, and expectations to deliver products or services that meet or exceed their satisfaction.
Continuous learning, embracing ongoing education, development, and improvement to stay updated with industry trends, acquire new skills, and adapt to changing demands.
Cultural and market navigation, has the ability to understand and effectively engage with diverse cultures, markets, or global regions, adapting strategies and approaches to fit specific contexts.
