Your goal
As a Research engineer Chemometrics, you will join the team that develops new water treatment solutions for a more sustainable water industry. We develop water and wastewater solutions for the municipal and industrial domain, and you will focus on advanced process control, modelling, and design with a heavy component in data science. Working at R&D, you will be the linking pin between the technical domain (process design, R&D) and the digital domain and ensure our water treatment solutions for the future are both smart and green. You will be involved in the complete development cycle of processes from idea to full-scale application. Examples of current projects are minimizing chemical consumption, recovery of nutrients from concentrated waste streams, and the efficient removal of persistent micro-pollutants. The projects you will be involved in are, among others, the optimization of large scale removal of micropollutants and optimizing chemical dosing in coagulation systems.
What will you be doing? We have listed it for you:
- Develop and implement the vision and strategy on advanced process modeling and control, be the thought leader on this domain within Saur.
- Implement a data-driven and QbD approach in R&D and process design; provide input to optimize processes and process designs based on historical process data.
- Develop and implement intelligent control strategies in our unit operations that help save energy and chemicals and ensure higher levels of safety.
- Improve the effectivity of pilot testing.
- Interface with lab and pilot research and help translate the results into full-scale solutions.
- Interface with digital teams in Doetinchem and Paris.
- Working together with customers and external partners.
