Privacy policy for candidates
The Saur Group (hereinafter referred to as "we" or “us”) collect and process personal data regarding candidates wishing to join our group.
As we are committed to the values of ethics and transparency, we wish to inform you through this policy how we process and protect your data, and how you can exercise your rights over your personal data.
1. Who we are
The data controller of your personal data is Saur SAS, a simplified joint-stock company, registered at the commercial register of Nanterre under the number 339 379 984, located at 11, Chemin de Bretagne, 92130 Issy-les-Moulineaux, France. Your data may be processed jointly by another company affiliated with the Saur Group.
2. The personal data we process
We collect and process the following categories of personal data:
- Identification data (such as your name, surname, and contact email address);
- Data related to the assessment of your skills, abilities, and motivation (resume, obtained degrees, positions held, cover letter if applicable);
When you navigate on the site eu.jobs.saur.com, this Cookie Policy applies.
We only collect the personal data that we need to achieve our purposes listed in the section 3. below.
Sometimes, we may give you the choice to provide us with certain data or to limit the use of some of your data for specific purposes. Thus, we strive to indicate whether providing information is mandatory or optional, according to your expectations. For example, when submitting your application, you have the choice to subscribe to our mailing list to receive new job offers.
We will never ask you to provide us with sensitive data (such as your political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, or sexual orientation) in our evaluation and recruitment process. Therefore, we invite you to be careful about the content of the information you directly or indirectly communicate to us by submitting your application (especially your resume).
We always try, especially at the time of collecting your data, to transparently indicate what we will do with it (for example, when you fill out our form to submit your application for a job offer) and direct you to this policy for more details.
3. What we do with your personal data
Your personal data is collected and processed for the following purposes:
3.1. Management of recruitment operations:
- Analysis of applications and resumes;
- Management of interviews;
- Sending surveys related to the candidate experience;
In these cases, the processing of your data is necessary for our legitimate interests.
- Drafting of your employment contract;
- Management of integration formalities into the company;
In these cases, the processing of your data is necessary for taking pre-contractual measures (in anticipation of the signing of the employment contract).
3.2. Creation of a talent network:
- Integration of your profile into our talent pool, for a duration not exceeding 2 years following your last contact, in order to propose our future job offers to you;
In this case, we consider that the processing of your data is necessary for our legitimate interest in filling our future vacancies.
- Sending by email newsletters on future job offers matching your search criteria;
- Management of your online "Connect" space;
In this case, you have freely consented to these processes. You can withdraw your consent at any time by unsubscribing from our mailing list (see the section 8 below) or by deleting your Connect space.
3.3. Management of your requests to exercise your rights over your personal data, if applicable:
In this case, the processing of your personal data is necessary to comply with a legal obligation to which we are subject.
3.4. Management of litigation related to recruitment, if applicable:
In this case, the processing of your personal data is necessary for our legitimate interests.
4. Use of artificial intelligence (AI)
We perform the following processes on the basis of our legitimate interest in optimizing the management of our recruitment operations.
Please note that your application cannot be automatically rejected by artificial intelligence without human intervention.
4.1. Recommendation of applications
Throughout the recruitment process, applications deemed most promising by artificial intelligence are marked with an "suggested by AI" icon. This approach, based on anonymous data, produces fair results and encourages unbiased decision-making.
4.2. Resume summary
We use AI to create, extract, and summarize information on your resume, such as your experience. This AI merely creates a summary of your skills and does not add any personal information. This ensures a fair recruitment process and avoids unconscious biases.
5. Data retention duration
We process and store your personal data only for the duration necessary to achieve the purposes for which they were collected.
If your application is not selected after applying with us (application for a job offer or voluntary application), your resume may be kept for up to 2 years in our talent pool.
If your application is successful and you pass our interviews, it means you will join our teams (which we are as delighted about as you are!). In this case, some data from your candidate file may feed into your employee file (if and only if they are relevant for the continuation). Our employee Data Protection Policy will then apply to you. It will be communicated to you during your integration process.
6. Recipients of your personal data
The recipients of your personal data are as follows, depending on the processes carried out:
- Human Resources Department;
- The manager(s) of the team in which the position is to be filled;
- Service providers acting on our behalf within the scope of the purposes listed in this policy.
We implement all necessary means to avoid the transfer of your data outside the European Union. For residual transfers (for example: when the service providers of our subcontractors are themselves established outside the European Union to carry out operations such as remote support or maintenance, or when a position is to be filled in one of our subsidiaries located outside the European Union), we commit to ensuring that these transfers are carried out in compliance with European regulations.
7. Data security
As the data controller, we are aware of the stakes surrounding the protection of your personal data and, in particular, the impacts that may result from a data or privacy breach. That is why we take all useful measures to preserve the security and confidentiality of the data and, in particular, to prevent them from being damaged, disclosed, or accessed by unauthorized third parties. To this end, we implement all appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure a level of security appropriate to the risk. Furthermore, we ensure that our subcontractors guarantee a level of protection of your personal data at least equivalent to the one we impose.
8. Your rights over your personal data
Your rights regarding your personal data are as follows:
- The right to ask us what data we hold about you (right to query)
- The right to access your data, allowing you to check its accuracy;
- The right to rectify inaccurate or incomplete data;
- The right to erase all or part of your data – this right can be exercised to the extent that:
- your data is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or processed; or
- you have objected to processing for which we have no compelling legitimate grounds;
- And this, without prejudice to any legal obligations or an administrative interest justifying longer preservation in archives for a limited duration;
- The right to limit the use of your data to one or more processes while the accuracy of your data is being restored or to establish whether your request for opposition is admissible;
- The right to object to one or more processes of your data;
- The right to withdraw your consent to a process, when applicable;
- The right to data portability – this right can be exercised provided that:
- the request for portability only concerns personal data about you;
- the personal data concerning you is processed on the basis of your consent or the taking of pre-contractual measures;
- the exercise of this right does not adversely affect the rights and freedoms of others.
You also have the right to define general and/or specific directives regarding the fate of your personal data and how you wish your rights to be exercised after your death. To ensure that the information we hold about you is always accurate, we recommend that you regularly update your personal data.
